New Year's Resolution

As mentioned on my previous posts, it had been a rocky start for the year 2014, but I'm definitely glad at this point that everything is falling into place. The husband and I learned a lot of things. We appreciate and value each other better than yesterday. We see to it that we know our priorities and limitations by heart and a lot more. So as I look back, I personally condition myself to change for the better or yet figure out the things I need to improve and work on. Also to catch on some people and goals to pursue.

With that being said, here's my own version of this year's resolution and objectives: (random)
Spiritual.. Physical.. Emotional.. Financial.. Personal.. General notes!

1. A healthier, happier and growing career. Yeah right.

2. Closer relationship with God. More time for a Sunday mass or church visit. Never miss a prayer. Amen to that.

3. Staying fit and healthy. Exercise. Less soda and chocolates.. huh?! For real? hahaha

4. A normal body clock/ well rest and enough sleep. No puyat if not necessary! hahaha

5. More smiles /laughter and optimism in all aspects. Bawal ang sad dapat happy.

6. More time with loved ones. More quality time.

7. Savings is a must. Both personal and future needs. Main target! hahahaha

8. Progressive plans and preparations for the wedding . The husband and I were so excited! Keep it real.

9. Less gala and more tipid dates! hahahaha. Yes we meant that!

10. Catching up with friends and relatives. Looking forward to that.

11. More love less hatred. Sounds good..

12. Lots of moments, treats and pay-back time with the family. We want them to be happy and a part of our priorities.

13. More assignments and open to other opportunities. It's gonna be a big help.

14. Before I forgot.. Driving lessons! Of course, wheels! hahahaha Gotta work my butt off! Fingers crossed!

15. Be as nice, as helpful, an inspiration and a lover as much as I can be. Tada! GO MAI!

First FRIDAY of 2014

It was another alone time for me today.. I don't have plans as usual. I thought of visiting my sister yet again I wanted to have an "ALONE TIME".. So I think it was destined that fate brought me to a church somewhere in Sta.Cruz. I really forgot that church and my mind sets for a first Friday mass attendance. Thank God for a nice weather, I'm safe and was able to be there before it started. As mentioned on my earlier post last Jan. 1, I'm going through something difficult now. I'm confused, I'm in pain, I'm bothered, sad and broke.. And being able to talk to God and to be present at the Eucharistic celebration was indeed timely and a comfort on my end. It was well presented by the priest, tho they lack people for the first part, I deeply appreciates how he imparted the gospel of the day. As always, I was seated 3rd row in front so I could clearly see the presider and won't be disturbed with unnecessary stuff around. The gospel was all about knowing your role.. The priest started it by incorporating the words from the bible about how John the Baptist ignored the praises and the authority from those who believed he was the Messiah, the Great prophet, our Savior. He denied it and pointed unto Jesus Christ, the One who will save us from our sins. He didn't embraced the popularity, the power that he can acknowledge and all the admiration of those who believe it was Him. And the priest said, the reality of today, in order to avoid conflicts, we should know our roles in life. He even shared a personal experience. He was invited to preside the mass in a mall, and he kindly asked if they can have a slot in the parking area just for that instance because he will be coming from another mass too and he needed to hurried going to the mall so he thought of asking for it so it won't consume some of their time. When they reach the parking area, they saw a free space and so they asked the security guard if they could park from there. The priest narrated that they were turned down. The security guard yelled at them and told them it was reserved for a VIP and had nothing to do but turned around. As the priest prepared his things, and held his "Sutana", the guard figured out he was a priest and was so ashamed of what he did. This only proves that if you know your role, conflict will be prevented. You don't simply judge a person or used your power on your advantage. If you know your role by heart, you can never go wrong in life. The priest also said that even all of the members of their family calls him "Father", still, he is the son of his parents, the son of his own father. Regardless his endeavor in life.

I know for sure what my role in life is. And if I'll get lost, I'm willing to find ways to discover it myself and it will led me to a better direction, a better person than I was yesterday... God bless us all ☻

Embracing 2014..

Today marks the 1st day of January for the year 2014. A brand new year to all of us. But as I was writing this, I miss someone so special to my heart. I have not talked to him yet since Sunday up to this point, so this is my only outlet to release all the pain, longings, the loneliness and sadness above my head and inside my heart. Yes, it was a very hard feeling to start the year ahead of me but all these loads I surrender to our dear Lord Jesus. Whatever the reason for this, I know he would never fail to guide me and be my security blanket. He know's how much I care and love the person and I trust Him to cure me and help me find the answers. On the other hand, contrary to the emotions deep within, the smiles and laughter that covers me I gladly give credit to my family specially my nephews and niece that brings me back to my childhood days, enjoying every second without the pressure of anything. I spent most hours with them playing, talking, cuddling, kissing, laughing, more often than not getting crazy with them whenever they did something wrong and I loved the idea that I'm not preoccupied.

Hours before new year came... I made myself busy, do some household chores. Prepared lumpia, then we went out and bought pizza, firecrackers and horns for the kids. Back home then continued all the works, while papa was cooking, I finished the salad for dessert and assisted mama in cooking the carbonara. Up to the last minute, we set up the table and hurried outside with the family for the countdown. Fireworks everywhere and the kids enjoyed it. We fired up the fountain and greeted each other. It was a blast. We shared what we had with some of our neighborhood and ate all together.

I can never be as strong as the others in handling the challenges of life but as I look back, as I reflect, there were a lot of people carrying heavy loads than I am, I am more blessed and safe, loved and protected and was given a precious blessing to enjoy the beauty of life. Thank you so much Lord Jesus for prolonging the gift of life I am grateful for. I have You and You are my strength. Please keep me guided this 2014 and the coming years of my life. I love You..

Christmas 2013!

Late published... This was originally written a day before Christmas but we needed to go to the grocery store and I wasn't able to finished it. So here it was..

Hi viewers! Today marks the 23rd of December. Yes, it is 1 day 8 hours before Christmas! Us Filipinos, lived in the traditional way of remembering the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Once the calendar hit the "ber" month, it is the start of embracing the spirit of Christmas and soon a new year ahead of us. We find ourselves busy decorating our house and setting up the Christmas tree. One by one we purchase gift items and starts wrapping it. The surroundings begins to be illuminated with lights in variety of colors.Little by little feeling the essence of Christmas season.

December 16 is the beginning of simbang gabi. A nine day series of masses in anticipation of Christmas being celebrated by Catholics.Gonna walk up early from your regular sleep and prepare for it as early as 4 or 5 in the morning. Some churches offers quick breakfast fot the early birds. Be it pandesal  or  lugaw. My parents were able to attend since the 16th and wanting to complete the entire series willingly. As for me, I haven't attended any of the previous days but hopefully be present in the remaining masses before the 25th. Along with the Eucharistic celebration in countless churches, comes the numerous vendors selling  native delicacies . As for us Filipinos, "hindi kumpleto ang pasko pag walang bibingka at puto-bumbong" (Christmas won't be complete without bibingka and puto-bumbong). Something I look forward eating. Also the very symbolic parol. From a normal composition made of sticks, improvised materials up to gigantic structure out of bulbs symbolizes the excitement and anticipation of the people in celebration of Christmas.

Here were some of the photos taken during our Christmas celebration:

But if I may ask you? What is the real meaning of Christmas?

For me, it's not about the food being served, not the amount of gifts we received, not how extravagant the decors of our house will be, it's all about sharing, loving and being grateful to the celebrant. The ONE above. Our Savior Jesus Christ.

Friday the 13th

Whenever the 13th day of the month falls into a Friday, Filipinos has this mentality that something unfortunate will happen. It's as if for real. Yet I respect their thoughts about it, for me, it's like any ordinary day and no one can tell what may or may not happen. On the other hand, it was for me a productive day, as I was able to claim an assignment just a few hours ago and I still have time to polish my article.

It was a very quick approval to be on the Red Team this time. My first account with essays five years ago expired so I need to re-apply and I love to be back..A profitable past time. Another blessing from Papa God. My next trainee will be "the husband" ♥! ☻☻☻

The role of a single mom

Delayed publish..

An ordinary day.. Same old routine. I wanted to archived all the resorts I have researched but there's a lot and I want it a bit detailed as reference so I needed to delay it. On the other hand, I respect and idolized this celebrity in racing her child as a single parent. Very hard working and full of passion and dedication when it comes to work but manage to balance her time with her very adorable daughter. I salute all the single moms in the world most specially to those who truly cares and love their children more than themselves.

Cheers to 3 Years and Counting at Bahay Marikit Resort and Hotel ♥♥♥

Yes, we've came to celebrate the 36th month of our relationship! Our 3rd year indeed! ☺♥♥♥
Me and my husband I must say were one of the most simplest couple. We didn't long for something impressive or gigantic type of celebration. So long as we're together, that is what we considered the most magnificent second.

It was a long lingering month  ..Prolonging the agony?.. hahahaha (not really ☻)

As always, there were plenty of details and options that were considered for our anniversary.  From various beaches, Almalin and others, we end up to Bahay Marikit a private resort and hotel also situated in Batangas City from the town of San Juan. It was very uncertain as to when will be the celebration and there were sudden changes too, but everything fell into place.☻

It was Sunday when babe thought of pushing our vacation the upcoming week. I wanted to get excited but I'm trying not to. Until.. We Chat audio message from babe says, "Hi babe good morning, nakausap ko na sina mommy.." (shaky voice.. and so I got panic) "Magready kana tuloy na tayo this Wednesday.. I'm so excited babe..Yehey!" (wtf! is this for real? hahahaha) The long wait was over! Right there and then I fixed my stuff and I got so agitated.. (This is it pansit! hahahaha)

Accessories and memorabilias ☻

(November 27,2013) Wednesday came, I woke up early. I was ahead of him for the first time.Extremely excited! hahaha.. We had lunch at SM San Lazaro, bought wine and exchange some items and we're all set to the terminal.

L ♥ O ♥ V ♥ E

We had to wait for a couple of minutes.. We left Manila late afternoon. It is not just us who were excited at that time, my supportive sister too! We chatted with her and sent some photos,on our way.. ☻

RAINBOW! ☻
Got to be my favorite spot whenever visiting LIPA. THE MOUNTAIN. ☻

It rained a little, but we managed..Every familiar picture of Lipa  reminded me of our experiences there.. We felt so excited and very eager to be back.

Happy husband ☻..Happy wife ☻.. = ♥♥♥
We're back!

The cold breeze of Lipa welcomed us. We bought cake, chips, etc. and had the chance to visualized our future cargo home. From Lipa to San Juan, where the resort is located, took us almost an hour drive. And something smelly and unpleasant happened in between hahaha.. Late 6 in the evening, if my memory serves right, we arrived at Bahay Marikit ☻ We kept the contact person posted where we were so I'm kind of disturbed that no one welcomed us and just figured out that we really needed to passed by a pathway heading to the reception area. It was well lit, so it's pretty fine.. The receptionist gladly greeted us and had small talk then one of their staff accompanied us in our room. We had a pretty cute room and the same experience we had at Valentino, we owned the place hahaha. Definitely an advantage of weekday getaway ☻. After we checked the place and put down our luggage, we already ordered our dinner. We had a vacation house type of lodge. It was supposed to be a twin sharing thing but we loved the fact that we're the only visitors at that time. Yehey!

Here are our photos during dinner: ☻

Mine was grilled Porkchop with fried rice and leche flan
Bangus with fried rice and leche flan for babe
It was fine, tasty and affordable

Sumptuous dinner

It was a great dinner, food were appetizing, tho we couldn't have additional orders because the restaurant closes by 7 p.m. The place were kinda creepy and there's no one in there aside on us and some personnel. We headed back to our room and discovered that the pool was just a few steps from our area so we decided to swim and soaked for less than an hour. Kuya opened the lights for us and we were awakened. Excited to dip into the water! ☻

Night swimming!...

Queen of "Cramps"! hahahaha ☻

We didn't stayed that long because it was too cold and we could just savor the pleasure of water the day after next so we decided to clean up and head back to our crib ☻. Plus the cramping thing attacked hahahaha ☻

..Wanna see the after math?? hahaha since we rushed to plunged in the pool we left our stuff scattered and we needed to count our money hahahah everything was messed up. Heres an evidence..
What a mess! hahaha
Treasure hunt! (Tawa lang ng tawa hahahaha ☻)

It was a little bit of everything.. Laughter, anxiety, excitement, overwhelmed, love, happiness and many other emotions. We fixed every detail of something tangible and intangible hahahaha..

It's time for a quality and very essential event ☻!

Our cute, petite cookies and cream cake needed to be fired up, so we borrowed Manong's lighter. We were all set.3! ♥♥♥

Happy anniversary Porkchop and Cinnabon!

Ooppss.. Before I forgot, we missed to asked for any utensil, so we needed to improvised out of the materials we had.. Look! Very smart husband!

Cake cover turned spoon hahaha ☻
Go babe! ☻

..We had a grape wine too, that happened to popped out as babe opened it and a few amount of liquid poured down the blanket! hahaha messed after messed hahahaha (something we couldn't control and part of the celebration ☻). It was one of my favorite wine, but not so with babe. Probably because it was too safe for a man. hahaha a non-alcoholic beverage. hahahaha

CHEERS!

Mid-night snack.. chat.. love ♥♥♥ and pictorials in between...

The magic pen! hahaha

Exhausted but definitely a blissful night! We were excited to see the entire environment the next day! ☻

Second Day! ☻
..Another sleepless night for me hahaha but I'm certainly well. Babe, woke up first and glanced for a moment what's outside and rushed back to me saying it was a pretty fine sunshine and that the surrounding was very enchanting! Tho I'm still sleepy, babe's words made me hurried towards the washroom and prepared for the day ahead of us ☻..

We were astonished and animated! We sincerely appreciate it's own concept. The morning sun illuminated the beauty of the place.  We roam around while waiting for our breakfast to be served. Pictorial here and there.. It was nature friendly, fresh air and green. As we were checking the pool, we witnessed how they clean it and we were called for our morning meal. Yehey!
Kuya set up the table in front of the pool, and so we were able to enjoy the view while eating! ☻ The food was inclusive on the package. It was okay and pleasing with coffee and milk too! ☻

Breakfast Served! TOCILOG, LONGSILOG plus COFFEE and MILK.. ☻

psst gising! hahahaha

After breakfast, we strolled over the resort. It was a pretty ambiance of nature. The atmosphere was definitely marvelous and Mediterranean inspired.

Can't wait for more precious adventure with you my partner, my best friend, my love..

Here's a brief message from my husband... Inverted hahaha

The best way to define what we have..

Thank you mahal for another memorable time with you. I admit I have the craziest tantrums no one could ever think of. I am the most unpunctual partner. Often times "maarte" and "topakin". "Selosa" , "impatient".. What else?? (parang lahat negative hehehe)
But despite all of my shortcomings, still, you made me feel I'm somehow perfect.. (teary eyes hehehehehe)
Thank you for accepting me, for teaching me, for all your patience and efforts, for making me laugh and cry at the same time, for allowing me to nag on you hahahaha with a purpose hehehe.. For catching up and many more. But above all thank you so so much for loving me unconditionally and being the best partner I could always count on.

Here's how I picture us...

Our relationship can never be perfect. Expect that there's more challenges, fights, arguments, misunderstandings, differences and a lot more flaws that you'll gonna discover from me and me on you but so long as the love we have is genuine and always forgiving, nothing could hinder our relationship from growing. I can not promise you anything, but I'm certain that my love for you won't change and I won't get tired taking care of you up to forever, even if the word "forever" is mortal, I don't want to think of an end, just forever ..
Our dream container house, our backyard full of fruits and vegetables, with chickens around and us together just like the above picture..I love you so much my dear husband.I want to grow old with you...
